Job Summary:

As our Fixed Asset Specialist, you'll be the guardian of the company's fixed assets, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance with financial regulations. You'll need strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to keep everything running smoothly.



Key Responsibilities of the Fixed Asset Specialist:

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all fixed assets, including acquisition, disposal, and depreciation.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct regular physical inventories of fixed assets and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Reporting: Prepare and update asset schedules and reports for financial and audit purposes.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of asset management policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work with finance, procurement, and operations teams to track asset movements and ensure proper documentation.
  • Capital Expenditures: Monitor and review capital expenditures to ensure accurate capitalization and depreciation.
  • Audit Support: Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in asset management.


Qualifications of the Fixed Asset Specialist:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in fixed asset management or accounting, preferably in Your Industry .
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations (GAAP, IFRS).
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certification: Certification in fixed asset management (CFAM) or similar is a plus.
