Payroll and Benefits Coordinator Key Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing
  • As the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator, you will accurately process weekly payroll for hourly team members, semi-monthly for managers, and monthly for the sales team.
  • Handle bonus payroll monthly and manage payroll accuracy based on productivity reports.
  • Use Paycor for payroll processing and CDK for accounting, ensuring compliance with all payroll regulations.
  1. Benefits Administration
  • Administer self-insured benefits plans as the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator, manage open enrollment, and address employee benefits questions.
  • Handle the billing process for benefit vendors and process benefits terminations as needed.
  • Ensure that all employee benefits are managed efficiently, improving the overall employee experience.
  1. HR Compliance
  • Maintain a basic understanding of payroll and benefits regulations to ensure compliance.
  • As the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator, you will assist with reporting and auditing to support internal controls and compliance requirements.
  1. Projects and HR Support
  • Assist with various HR projects, including converting manual new-hire forms to an electronic system.
  • Contribute to improving payroll processes and supporting HR initiatives that drive organizational success.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Prior Payroll Experience: You should have experience in payroll processing, ideally in a payroll accounting role. Experience with Paycor is a plus but not required.
  • Benefits Administration Experience: Familiarity with self-insured benefit plans is beneficial, and you should be comfortable administering employee benefits.
  • Strong Communication Skills: As the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator, you will be the point of contact for employees, handling potentially difficult conversations, so strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Payroll and Benefits Coordinator Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $55K - $65K based on experience.
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, 401(k) with 2% match, AD&D, STD, LTD, and HSA with a monthly company contribution.
