Senior Wireless DSP Engineer

Position description:

Working as part of the Development Team you will be responsible for the design and implementation of DSP algorithms for the PHY layer of 4G/5G communication systems. Engineering responsibilities will begin at the conceptual phase and extend through product design and deployment.

Residency requirement: Candidates must be US Citizens or US permanent residents and reside in the US.

Compensation: $130,000 - $165,000

Benefits: M/D/V, 3 weeks PTO (pro-rated), 11 paid holidays (including floating holidays), 5 paid sick days, Fitness subsidy, 3 bereavement days, 1 volunteer vacation day, 401K eligibility on 1st day

Senior Wireless DSP Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop various solutions from the first concept through implementation
  • Lead project from developing the product concept to the development and design through deployment
  • Improve 4G/5G systems through development and implementation of new DSP algorithms for the PHY layer
  • Use MATLAB to improve and enhance DSP Algorithms
  • Work with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal processors to perform testing
  • Bring innovate ideas and creations to the company

Senior Wireless DSP Engineer

Education/Experience:

  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar degree
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant professional work experience with DSP Algorithms

Senior Wireless DSP Engineer

Required Skills:

  • High end DSP algorithm modeling and development skills using Matlab with the focus on communications systems and signals.
  • In-depth knowledge of 4G/5G air interface
  • PHY layer algorithm design and simulation for OFDM systems
  • Familiarity with wireless base station architectures.
  • Must be familiar with and understand basic RF concepts, Software development, FPGA development, and algorithm implementation within DSP
  • Laboratory experience with test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, power meters.
  • Strong project management experience with proven ability to lead project from start to finish
  • Experience with patent disclosures and filings is a plus and will be part of the job.

Additional requirements:

  • Occasional domestic travel estimated at about 10%
  • Occasional after hours work particularly during product trials
