Responsibilities of the Director of Accounting:

Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation
Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure financial integrity
Annual budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliations
Month- and Year-end close
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., U.S. GAAP)
Spearhead financial audits and liaise with external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes
Prepare reports for management, board meetings, and external stakeholders
Point-person for external auditors
Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification strongly preferred
Proven experience in a leadership role within accounting, demonstrating the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
Proficiency in utilizing financial systems and software to streamline processes
Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail

Salary: $105,000 - $125,000 depending on experience
