Job description

  • JOB SUMMARY AND SPECIFICATIONS

    • JOB SUMMARY

      • Ensures appropriate decontamination and sterilization processes of supplies, equipment, and instruments. Assists with preparing reports, collecting data, developing policies and procedures, and implementing programs associated with the central sterile process. Performs job duties according to safety and regulatory recommendations. Recognizes and assists in the operational function of the surgery department through the management of their supply chain. This includes but not limited to supply ordering, organization, rotation, distribution and recommendations. Attention to detail and high degrees of accuracy are essential in this role.
    • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

      • Professional & Technical Skills

        • Prefer prior experience in Central Service or Surgery working with instruments, decontamination, and sterilization.
      • Education

        • High School Graduate or equivalent
      • License(s) or Certification(s)

        • CST or CRCST required.
      • Other Skills or Requirements

        • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member
      • Skilled to Care for Certain Age-Related Patient Groups (incumbents will be skilled in the care of the following patient groups)

        • All age groups
