Job Description: CAN BE REMOTE • Administer numbers Oracle databases and support systems administrator, developers, and end users with enhancements and issues. • Required certification as an Oracle Database Administrator (OCA or OCP) • This position also requires a valid certification of an IAT-2 technical level with Security +, or Global Information Assurance Certification's (GIAC) Security Essentials (GSEC), or (ISC)2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) • Recent work experience with a production Oracle database, 8 years of experience. • Experience with designing, normalizing, developing, installing, and implementing databases to include schemas, tables, indexes, data import and export. • Experience maintaining, monitoring, performance tuning, backing up, and recovering databases in a Linux or Unix environment. • Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and patching database management software. • Experience in the use of Standard Query Language (SQL) to create, store, retrieve, and update data in relational databases. • Experience developing Procedural Language SQL (PL/SQL) packages, procedures, functions, and triggers. • Experience with the Software Lifecycle Management and knowledge of Oracle products and database features sufficient to communicate performance factors, author management plans, and collaborate with system administrators, customers, and Director-level management. • Conduct periodic Information Assurance accreditation reviews and implement the applicable Security Technical Implementation Guide or Security Readiness Guide to databases, database servers and applications to meet security requirements. • Experience in the use of helpdesk processes, tools and testing methods to diagnose and resolve problems to satisfy customer needs. Required Skills and Experiences: • DoD 8570.1-m IAT 2 certification - Security+ CE, CySA+, SSCP, GICSP, GSEC, CCNA Security • Analytical thinking, planning • Strong verbal and personal communication skills. • Accuracy and attention to details. • Organization and prioritization skills. • Problem analysis, use of judgment and ability to solve problems efficiently. • Decision making, critical thinking, organizing and planning. • Tolerant and flexible to different situations. • Self motivated • Customer service mindedness • Adaptability/ability to work under pressure • Top Secret Security Clearance • US citizen Degree Requirements: • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. • Preferred bachelor's degree in operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. Or • Associates degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Or • 10 years of experience.
