Job description

Our client, a university located in Boston, is seeking an Events Specialist. This is a temporary opportunity and can compensate up to $30/hr. depending on experience. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply today for immediate consideration!

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Strong skills in Microsoft Word and a solid working knowledge of Excel.
  • Multitasking Ability: Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Event Management Experience: Relevant experience in event management with a proactive approach to assisting and problem-solving as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Event Logistics Management: Oversee logistics for small and large-scale industry events, including interviews, career panels, and networking events.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with other career centers for event planning and best practices.
  • Venue and Setup Coordination: Book room reservations, manage event layouts, and execute setups.
  • Catering and Parking: Order catering and coordinate parking arrangements for events.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Ensure effective marketing of events in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Calendar and Inventory Management: Maintain the Calendar of Events; manage office supply inventory.
