Job description

Creative Financial Staffing (CFS) has partnered with a newly created family office in their search for an Accounting Manager. This position will support the families' real estate portfolio, valued at over $2 billion, consisting of over 100 properties across the East Coast.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the primary accounting administrator
  • Oversee and manage a portfolio primarily comprised of multifamily residential properties, with additional office, hotel, and resort properties
  • Work closely with the Managers of the holding company to oversee the Trust's real estate assets
  • Administer the ongoing process of dividing and distributing assets from the Trust among a small group of immediate family beneficiaries
  • Manage the complexities of the Trust's holdings, which include a mix of partnerships, LLCs, and S Corps.
  • Coordinate the consolidation and management of cash, fixed income, and securities under a high-net-worth client management firm
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of reports and financial statements for the holding company and family office
  • Provide expertise in real estate partnerships, tax-related matters, and the financial operations of the Trust
  • Maintain strong communication with the holding company Managers, family beneficiaries, and external partners (accountants, attorneys, investment managers)
  • Oversee administrative functions, ensuring compliance with legal, tax, and financial regulations related to the Trust and its assets

Qualifications:
  • Experience with real estate partnerships, tax structures (LLCs, S Corps), and high-net-worth estate management
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication skills for managing relationships with family beneficiaries, stakeholders, and external partners
  • Experience in managing high-value real estate portfolios or similar asset management roles
