The NPD/Project Engineer will manage product lines and oversee the phase gate process, utilizing expertise in plastics and thermoforming to drive innovation and meet customer needs. Description

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Product Development: Manage and oversee the development of product lines, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and project milestones.
  • Implement Quality Systems: Develop and apply quality specifications, test protocols, and statistical process control systems to enhance product reliability and performance.
  • Resolve Quality Issues: Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to address and resolve quality concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Analyze Data: Prepare and analyze data reports to identify trends, make recommendations for improvements, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Ensure Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with company and customer quality standards, safety regulations, and SQF requirements.
  • Optimize Processes: Work with operations managers to develop and implement process controls and improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
  • Inspect and Test: Conduct inspections and tests of materials, equipment, and products to verify that quality specifications are met.
  • Drive Innovation: Utilize expertise in plastics and thermoforming to drive innovative solutions and improvements in product design and manufacturing processes.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in quality, packaging, industrial, mechanical engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous for career growth.
  • Certifications: ASQ certification or CQE, and/or training in Quality Management Systems (QMS) preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role, with experience coding and using QA software tools and processes.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent project management skills, and effective communication and interpersonal skills
