Description

Key Responsibilities of a Aerospace Quality Engineer:

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations in the aerospace industry. AS9100
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and address quality issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality metrics and monitor performance.
  • Design and execute quality tests and inspections to validate product and process integrity.
  • Document and analyze quality data, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead and support corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality-related concerns.
  • Drive supplier quality management activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and facilitating supplier performance improvement.

Profile

A successful candidate for the position of Aerospace Quality Engineer:

  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • TIER 1 or OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) experience
  • Quality Experience: Proven experience in quality engineering, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies, including statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address quality issues effectively.
  • Quality Management Systems: Familiarity with quality management systems: AS9100 and a track record of ensuring compliance.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis and the use of statistical tools/software to interpret and act on manufacturing data.
  • Continuous Improvement: A commitment to implementing and driving continuous improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean, to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to convey quality-related information clearly.
