Our Auburn Hills, MI location is seeking a Lead Customer Quality Specialist to join our team. Are you ready to shape the future with us? THE POSITION Lead Customer Quality Specialist, Continental Tire The Americas, LLC, Auburn Hills, MI: Design and plan projects for Continuous Improvement (including improvement of quality processes) with impact to OE (Original Equipment) products and services. Manage all aspects of customer complaint process internally and externally from problem detection through lessons learned. Plan, organize and accompany customer audits in cooperation with Quality Management and align on a global level. Procure and publish customer satisfaction data and create and manage actions to improve. Responsible to support use of quality tools within account (FMEA / APQP / PPAP) including the development and maintenance of customer processes on a global basis. Procure CSR (Customer Specific Requirements), translate and publish into Continental (POMS) systems for application within the account on a global basis. Ensure all Conformance of Production testing is completed and manage response in case of non-conformity. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Engineering (any) or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate, related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in all of the following: Using APQP process to develop, validate, release and launch a product in compliance with automotive industry regulatory standards; Using D/PFMEA to assess design and process risk in automotive parts to meet performance requirements of the OEM customer and end customer; Using Statistical Process Controls (SPC) to control process output variation and capability; Using the PPAP process to validate and industrialize automotive components in order to achieve customer requirements; Using Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to understand the variation of measurement data in a manufacturing environment and take actions to improve measurement capability with regards to product quality; Experience utilizing structured problem solving tools and techniques including (including 8D, 5 why or A3) and other customer specific processes, with the ability to contain and resolve issues with further corrective actions applied to PPAP, FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) or Control Plans. Experience working with customers in the automotive industry, including explaining technical concepts related to automotive industry components to OEM customer experts; Lead engineering release activities (PPAP) simultaneously with customer after automotive components approval; Applying lessons learned from problem solving tools in order to prevent systemic reoccurrence of issues to the D-FMEA, P- FMEA or Control Plans during the automotive components Development process; Apply structured problem solving focused on containment and corrective actions in response to customer complaints; and Execute customer required audit testing based on automotive industry standards, and initiate any analysis and corrective actions needed.
