The Impact You'll Make in this RoleAs a Quality Engineer supporting the global Purification and Filtration Business Drinking Water portfolio, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Leading quality assurance initiatives to drive key quality priorities for our Drinking Water portfolio and our customers.
- Collaborating with the Drinking Water portfolio and Solventum quality teams to deploy quality systems, including risk management, change management, design controls, and test method development and validation.
- Analyzing and resolving customer complaints, quality issues, and nonconformances.
- Interacting with global manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and support functions to ensure compliance to product performance claims and certifications, drive continuous improvement, prevent quality nonconformances, reduce variation in product and process, and achieve operational excellence in our value streams.
- Fostering a quality-focused environment and mindset throughout the business.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree or higher from accredited institution AND Three (3) years of manufacturing, quality or technical experience in a private, public, government or military environment OR • High School Diploma/GED from accredited institution AND Ten (10) years of manufacturing, quality or technical experience in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience with drinking water filtration products and certifications
- Product and process experience in non-wovens, carbon block, injection molding, and automated assembly.
- Experience working in a regulated environment
- Supplier quality experience
- Demonstrated project leadership experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated competency in essential quality engineering skills, including problem solving, critical thinking, statistical data analysis, corrective and preventive action (CAPA), and risk mitigation (FMEA, etc.).
- Quality management system auditing experience
- ASQ (American Society for Quality) professional certifications
