Job description

The primary purpose of this position is to direct and coordinate the activities of the Munitions Storage Area (MSA) ensuring customers' requirements are met while complying with DAFMAN 21-201, AFMAN 21-200, DESR 6055.09 AFMAN 91-201 and all applicable USAF directives. This position reports directly to the BOS Supply Manager. Responsibilities Supervises or performs munitions operations/accountability management, stock control, distribution, receipt, shipment, issue, turn-in, leveling and allocation management
Coordinates workflow to ensure continuity and completion
Maintains relationships with customers; analyzes customer concerns and issues and addresses issues appropriately and promptly
Establishes and maintains an effective munitions inspection program
Manages DoD Key and lock program
Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work production. Responsible for on-the-job training as required. Maintains master training plans
Manages munitions operating, storage and administrative facilities to include housekeeping
Responsible for maintaining accountable munitions documents
Manages munitions residue, reusable containers, and scrap metal
Identifies storage requirements and storage area hazards, identifies/applies site planning principles, identifies/applies quantity distance principles, identifies compatibility requirements, documents munitions movements
Responsible to perform all assigned duties as safety and efficiently as possible to maintain a safe work environment in accordance with all applicable rules and standards including, but not limited to, OSHA and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and standards and Technical Orders.
Serves as a key advisor to the Supply Manager on all aspects of Quality Control, Assurance and Surveillance of munitions.
Develops, monitors, and administers training programs for quality assurance and quality control of munitions.
Develops and maintains quality assurance documentation for projects and tasks to include metrics. Ensures documentation complies with standards, policies, and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional, and mission requirements. Position is classified as mission essential and may require employee to shelter at work location and to respond to disasters or other contingencies. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum USAF seven level skill completion in 2W0X1 - Munitions Systems Career Field.
Must have an active SECRET security clearance or ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
Minimum ten years' experience in munitions career field.
1-year prior manager/supervisor experience.
Must possess valid state driver's license.
Must meet qualifications of the Lautenberg Amendment and Gun Control Act of 1968, Title 18, U.S.C., 922 (ability to be armed)
