Job Type Full-time Description Primary Location: Nellis AFB, Nevada Clearance: TS SCI clearance, SAP-accessed Must be a US Citizen Ability to work remotely: None; onsite role Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking a Software Developer to join the Team! The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing Modeling & Simulation (M&S) tools for the 328 WPS. This role involves coding, testing, and implementing updates to ensure the tools are optimized for advanced training scenarios. The Software Engineer will work closely with Ansys Systems Toolkit and interpret SysML diagrams to guide tool development. The mission is to provide the U.S. Space Force 328th WPS Modeling & Simulation command with software development services in support of Advanced Training. Specific Responsibilities Develop, test, and implement code for M&S tools using Visual Basic, JavaScript, Python, and Java.
Work with Ansys Systems Toolkit (STK) to integrate simulation components.
Interpret and use SysML diagrams to guide development of M&S tools and modules.
Collaborate with the M&S Flight Commander to prioritize tool development and updates.
Provide technical support for instructors and students during training exercises.
Ensure the stability and functionality of M&S tools for real-time simulation scenarios.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in software development, particularly with simulation tools.
Proficiency in VBA, JavaScript, Python, and Java.
Hands-on experience with Ansys Systems Toolkit (STK) and working knowledge of SysML diagrams.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in simulation environments.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment Must be able to lift 50lbs
Work will be performed at an active Military Installation
