Job description
In this Maintenance Manager role you will be responsible for overseeing the upkeep, repair, and optimization of all manufacturing equipment and facilities, ensuring maximum reliability, efficiency, and safety. This is a key leadership role in maintaining the operational integrity of my clients production processes, driving improvements, and minimizing downtime.

Description
The Maintenance Manager will report directly into the Operations Manager and be responsible for:
- Lead and manage the maintenance department, including planning and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities for all equipment, machinery, and facilities.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to ensure equipment operates efficiently and reliably, reducing unscheduled downtime.
- Oversee the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment to ensure optimal performance in a high-volume plastics manufacturing environment.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations (OSHA, local regulations), and promote a culture of safety within the team.
- Manage the maintenance budget, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring the availability of spare parts, tools, and resources.
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring high performance across the department.
- Work with the production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, equipment upgrades, and automation initiatives that enhance production efficiency.
- Investigate equipment failures and breakdowns, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, downtime reports, and equipment performance metrics.

Profile
- Degree in Engineering or Maintenance Management preferred
- 8-10 years of maintenance experience within industrial manufacturing
- 3+ years of management or supervisory experience
- Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and proficiency in data-driven maintenance practices
- Understanding of automation and control systems in manufacturing processes is a plus
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Maintenance-related certifications (such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional - CMRP) are desirable but not required
