Job description

Chemist requires: & Good technical skills with training in wet chemistry laboratory safety is a must. & Comfort and knowledge of working with chemicals, especially hazardous chemicals. & Ability to perform heavy lifting (5 lb. up to 40 lb.). & Organized with good time management skills. & Good communications and observation skills & Good focus and attention to detail. & Ability to travel and work with outside agencies (Somerset Raritan Valley Sewerage Authority). & Ability to perform repetitive work on a weekly basis. & Appreciation of good housekeeping and ability to clean glassware thoroughly and repetitively. & Willing to conduct tedious/repetitive work & BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Biological Engineering, Microbiology, Packaging, Materials Science or Polymer Science would be preferred Chemist duties: Responsible for collecting and recording, interpreting and documenting data in a manner consistent with Good Documentation Practices Able to be aware and comply of all relevant standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Manages and prioritizes assigned projects with little or no direction.
