Overview:
What you will be doing:

The Leasing Manager supervises a staff of leasing consultants and is responsible for developing and implementing leasing plans to attract new residents and retain current residents. Prior Leasing experience is required. He/She will be accountable for training staff, budgeting, scheduling, and managing personnel matters and service issues with residents and prospects.

What we'll expect from you:

Create monthly schedules for leasing staff and directs staff to achieve property occupancy goals

Supervise leasing personnel to ensure complete applicant files

Full understanding of leasing process, with previous experience in the field

Provide training and instruction to leasing staff including proper methods of processing paperwork and tracking traffic

Follows up on unit inspections, thank you notes, approval letters, phone calls and lease signing schedule

Overall responsibility for applicant files. Initial approval on all paperwork and verifications. Assures that applicant is set up properly and all monies processed within 24 hours. Presents file to Property Manager for final approval

Update and ensures accuracy of application tracking log, daily vacancy reports and activity sheets. Alerts maintenance staff of move-in and turn schedule

Assists in all aspects of marketing including outreach, shopping competitive communities, preparing Markey surveys

May compile and submit weekly property reports including Sunday numbers and Projected Occupancy

Leases and shows apartments as required

Assist with Renter's Advantage Program

Maintain Corporate outreach file

Assists Property Manager as required

Promote resident retention program

Work with Morgan Suites for all corporate leases and requests. May manage corporate housekeeping schedule

Develop and maintain Team Spirit

Ensure adherence to fair housing laws

Associates degree (A.S, A.A.) from two-year College or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Sales and/or Customer Service training required

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Must be enthusiastic with strong sales and customer service abilities

Must be goal oriented

Requires valid drivers' license, along with good driving record and auto insurance
