Material Handler

Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour

Shift: M-F 7:00am to 3:00pm

Location: Paulsboro, NJ 08066

Job Duties:

Responsible for moving material to and from receiving, shipping, production by hand or pallet jack, cherry picker, or turret truck.

Quality control, and the secondary stock locations,

Communicate with internal departments to convey materials when/as needed.

Perform pick up/delivery routes internally using a time-based system.

Verifies packing lists, purchase orders, Bill of Ladings, or other documents to determine priorities, accuracy, and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules and/or customer requirements.

Reports shortages and/or damaged material to the appropriate personnel.

Is the primary back-up to the receiver.

Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies proper personnel for maintenance when needed.

Periodically loads/unloads freight and/or packages from delivery/ pickup vehicles.

May transport materials using industrial powered trucks or company vehicles.

Maintains an organized layout and safe work environment.

Performs related duties as assigned by the Distribution Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements:

Background check and Drug-screen

Reliable transportation

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs

Must have 2 years of experience with electric pallet jack, cherry picker, turret truck.
