Job description

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all installation, repair and upkeep operations of facilities.

My client is a growing food manufacturing and distribution company.

Description

  • Create and execute a maintenance program/schedule to include proactive and routine maintenance. Collaborate with appropriate leaders to minimize impact on operations/productivity.
  • Ensure all machinery is working at appropriate standards to maximize productivity and minimize equipment failure
  • Own and oversee the care and maintenance of all equipment and systems in safe operating condition.
  • Supervise maintenance team to ensure objectives are met
  • Own appropriate vendor/third party relationships (electricians, plumbers, Reiser, equipment supplier techs etc) to ensure execution of maintenance tasks
  • Develop and manage maintenance budget. Ensure appropriate documentation/reporting as required by Finance
  • Forecast, order and price negotiate for spare parts inventory
  • Ensure all maintenance operations are done in accordance with company policy and OSHA guidelines
  • Ensure proper communication, training and compliance to all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to proper use of PPEs, safe ergonomic practices and proper/safe handling of food products
  • Collaborate with HR, Operations and appropriate third party vendors to ensure proper training of employees (salary and hourly) on equipment (existing equipment and new installations)
  • Ensure maintenance team is appropriately staffed to execute maintenance program and respond to emergency maintenance calls

Profile

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Facility Management or related field is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance
  • Previous management experience a plus
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Highly collaborative, perceptive, operates with accountability
