We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Sr. IT Administrator to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with business leaders to identify technology solutions that address organizational needs
Oversee IT projects and initiatives
Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure
Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security of IT systems
Manage IT assets and inventory. Research and specify hardware, software, and service purchases
Mentor, train, and supervise junior IT staff
Create documentation of systems and processes.
Work with vendors and contractors
Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis
Provide advanced support to internal employees, both on-site and remote, with a variety of hardware, software, and other technical issues
Perform tasks related to IT-managed campus amenities (e.g., video displays, audio systems, security systems)
Assist infrastructure, network and server teams as needed with rollouts, deployments, preventative maintenance and other projects or initiatives as needed
Set up equipment for meetings, tradeshows, and other special events
Conduct technical training for employees
Other IT related duties as assigned by the manager
Requirements
Who You Are
Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Willing to travel to local data centers, respond to after-hours emergencies, or work after-hours for planned maintenance
Ability to independently evaluate and prioritize incidents and diligently deploy or provide solutions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar
7-10 years of progressive experience
Knowledge of hand tools and how to operate safely within IT spaces
Expertise with Windows Enterprise, Server, Office, Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell
Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, VLANs
Ability to install and terminate network and low voltage cabling
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
