Job description

The Senior Contracts Manager, as a member of the Global Corporate Transactions team within Chubb Global Legal and Compliance ("Chubb L&C"), will be responsible for designated areas of contract management within Global Corporate Transactions, including managing legal authority for signatories on contracts, contract execution through DocuSign and management of the DocuSign system for Chubb L&C and review of NDAs.

This position will also coordinate with various business and support groups, including Third Party Risk Management, Procurement, Information Security and Operations and Technology with a focus on maintaining best in class third party contracting policies, practices, and procedures for Global Corporate Transactions. The Senior Contracts Manager will also lead projects as needed for the Global Corporate Transactions team, with a focus on identifying automation efficiencies that may exist. Other areas of focus may also include working with the Chubb Global Legal Operations team on operational improvements and efficiency projects, and metrics and matter tracking within LASER (the Chubb L&C workflow and matter management tool).

This role operates on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) in our Whitehouse Station, NJ or Philadelphia, PA offices.

The Senior Contracts Manager will also perform the following:

  • Work with the Global Corporate Transactions attorneys to draft, negotiate and close certain third-party contracts as assigned including both standard and customized agreements across multiple subject matters and contract types.
  • Coordinate with and help oversee the various contracting activities of internal contract management groups outside of Chubb L&C, including Global Procurement and others to ensure compliance with Global Corporate Transactions contracting policies and guidelines as well as to ensure efficiencies in contract management.
  • Maintain and manage contract templates and drive contract consistency and best practices across all business groups supported by Global Corporate Transactions.
  • Work with Global Procurement and other contract business owners to fully utilize the Global Contract Repository Tool for Chubb L&C and ensure the usage of and compliance with the tool on a global level for all third-party contracts and their timely collection and upload.
  • Assist with the upkeep, maintenance and access for the Global Corporate Transactions Village page.
  • Assist with clean-up and upkeep of the Global Corporate Transactions shared workspaces and repositories.
