In this role, you'll dive into a variety of engaging tasks and keep our three premier Class A office buildings LOCATED IN Albuquerque, NM, in excellent condition. Your responsibilities will include maintaining, repairing, constructing facilities and equipment, covering everything from plumbing and electrical work to HVAC systems, light equipment operation, carpentry, masonry, painting, and many other duties as assigned. Full-time hourly position with a range of $26.44 to $28.85 an hour DOE + benefits. Located in Albuquerque, NM. Working out of our Corporate Office in Downtown Albuquerque and Park Square Office in Uptown Albuquerque.
Position Purpose: Purpose: Reporting directly to the Facility Managers at Heritage Real Estate Company, LLC., the Facilities Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our Class A buildings Uptown and Downtown. This role demands reliability and a strong sense of responsibility, as well as the ability to support the Facilities Manager. The Facilities Technician will handle a diverse range of semi-skilled tasks, including the maintenance, repair, construction, and remodeling of facilities and equipment. Key responsibilities encompass plumbing, electrical work, HVAC systems, light equipment operation, carpentry, masonry, and painting.

Essential Duties and Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Work under direction of the Facilities Manager/Supervisor.
  • Maintain a high level of positivity and professionalism with guests, team members, and external partners.
  • Promptly respond to work orders and perform routine facility maintenance.
  • Maintain facility equipment as indicated by the preventative maintenance plan.
  • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
  • As directed, conduct regular building and facilities general maintenance including basic electrical, plumbing, painting, drywall, tile, and landscaping.
  • Repairing and treating structures such as floors, sinks, urinals, toilets, showers, walls, windows, carpets, roofs, locks, and drains.
  • Ensure that all work activities conform to all safety, sanitation, and health regulations and policies.
  • May include maintenance of water fountains and ponds.
  • Other duties as assigned consistent with the functions of this position as needed at any of the properties.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of facilities maintenance and/or construction experience required.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • OSHA Forklift or Scissor Lift certification may be required.
  • Frequent walking, standing, climbing, lifting, stooping, or carrying of equipment and materials may be required; conditions could include outdoors, indoors, and confined spaces.
  • Ability to push/pull/lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • May be exposed to extreme or variant temperatures, high and precarious locations, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have current, unrestricted driver's license, be able to maintain company group insurance, and have reliable transportation.
