CTG is seeking to fill a Project Manager III opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.
Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 12 months
Overview:
The Project Manager will manage high-priority projects affecting three or more businesses or functional areas, or complex projects that span multiple domains. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of project scope, schedule, and costs, utilizing effective verification techniques to ensure accuracy and facilitate customer acceptance throughout the project lifecycle.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and direct high-priority projects impacting multiple business functions, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities among team members.
Develop comprehensive Project Plans, including forecasts and schedules, in collaboration with stakeholders to define detailed project requirements and deliverables.
Communicate project plans effectively to all parties, aligning expectations and maintaining transparency throughout the project.
Oversee the execution of project tasks, managing budgets and forecasts while monitoring and controlling project work and implementing change controls.
Measure project performance using appropriate tools, identifying variances, and executing corrective actions as needed.
Mitigate project risks through approved actions and workarounds, fostering an environment of cooperation and high team morale.
Understand and uphold the company's risk and regulatory standards, escalating any risk-related issues to management.
Promote diversity and inclusion within the team, reflecting the M&T Bank brand in all initiatives.
Ensure compliance with internal control standards and address any audit points or regulatory issues promptly.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
Contributes to the technical and professional direction within the project management discipline.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of proven project management experience;
OR
In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least 4 years of proven project management experience or a minimum of 3 years of proven project management experience.
Proficiency with personal computers and relevant software packages.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) is preferred.
Experience in managing technical projects or cross-functional teams is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
