  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and improvement of the building(s) and facilities.
  • Develop and implement facilities management strategies.
  • Manage a team of facilities staff (maintenance, custodial, etc.) and third-party service providers.
  • Develop and manage budgets for facilities-related expenses.
  • Plan and coordinate renovations, upgrades, and construction projects

  • Leadership & Team Management: Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of facilities staff, vendors, and contractors.
  • Project Management: Skills in planning, executing, and managing facilities projects on time and within budget.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of facilities systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, safety systems, etc.) and general building operations.
  • Financial Management: Ability to manage budgets, reduce costs, and make cost-effective decisions related to facility operations.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders, including executives, staff, and external vendors.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with building codes, environmental regulations, OSHA guidelines, and other local, state, and federal regulations.

Profile

The successful Director of Facilities is someone who can blend technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking to ensure that facilities are safe, efficient, and aligned with the organization's goals. They will also be able to deliver white glove service to their employees, internal stakeholders, and clients. They will have strong communication skills, and have experience being hands on in the facility environment.
