Job description

This role is for a Sr. Accountant who can come in and roll their sleeves up, become part of the family as the company continues to grow beyond a family business and scale alongside their new business units. This person should be looking to grow alongside the business and contribute both a technical knowledge and a front-office personality to communicate inter-departmentally, to vendors, and with the C-Suite executives.

My client is a 3rd generation Italian bake shop, a NY institution that has recently been rapidly growing into new spaces. They are looking to bring in inaugural accounting members to define the space, grow alongside the team, learn under the CFO, and eventually work into a larger more strategic team role. Description

• Adherence to month-end close calendar with various journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Comprehensive GL accounting responsibilities for multiple entities including but not limited to:
• Bank reconciliations, Fixed Assets, Accruals, expense analysis, Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Communicate with other departments, C-Suite, and Vendors regarding budgets & forecasts

Profile

• 4 year degree in accounting or related field
• 6+ years of accounting experience, F&B or Manufacturing preferred
• Ability to be front office minded while still being hands on in the data
• Committed to long term growth and stability with opportunity to develop larger team
