Job Description:

In this role, you will be the primary point of contact between the imaging center and referring providers and their patients. Your responsibilities will include accurately scheduling and processing all inbound and outbound calls and faxes within 24 hours of receipt. Additionally, you will collaborate with your teammates to support schedule fluidity and optimization through proper documentation, timely processing, and effective teamwork.

Location: 315 Lillington Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28204
Position Type: Full-Time

Work Schedule Details: 7:30AM -4:00PM (can be slightly flexible on start/end time)

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the first contact for referring providers and their patients.

Accurately schedule and process all inbound and outbound calls and faxes within 24 hours.

Follow appropriate communication channels with teammates to support schedule fluidity and optimization.

Handle multiple phone lines while displaying excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette.

Master in-house software systems to accurately schedule multiple modalities (MRI, CT Scan, Ultrasound, X-ray), input clinical data, and provide necessary commentary for patient appointments.

Input and update vital patient account information at the time of scheduling, including but not limited to insurance carrier, patient demographics, and referring provider details.

Actively maintain good rapport with all referring providers and their staff.

Create remarkable patient experiences by demonstrating professionalism, high-level customer service, and compassion during the scheduling process.

Communicate and interact with all radiology center teams effectively and professionally.

Meet and adhere to key performance indicator metrics (calls per day, appointments per day, call quality).

Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Prior Experience:

0 - 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting

Experience in a high-volume call center or fast-paced environment

Special Qualifications:

Excellent typing skills with a strong focus on accuracy

Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance processes

Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office software

Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively

Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
