Position Overview This effort will provide Engineering Support Services for the United States Coast Guard (USCG), Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Short Range Recovery (SRR), Medium Range Recovery Range (MRR), Medium Range Surveillance (MRS), and Long Range Surveillance (LRS) Divisions at the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) in Elizabeth City, NC. Essential Job Function Perform complete electrical engineering analysis of all MH60T maintenance and support tasks to include, but are not limited to, review of all engineering drawings and technical data for compliance with USCG and industry standards (i.e., NAVAIR 01-1A-505 and MIL-W-5088) for safety, reliability, and maintainability, and to ensure systems will meet their intended design performance.
Provide supervision and task direction and coordination for all MRR positions in this SOW.
Provide electronics expertise as a USCG engineering authority and resource.
Act as point of contact for the MH-60T on Electromagnetic Interference/Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMI/EMC) concerns (as per MIL-STD-464) and institute corrective design changes and maintenance procedures.
Shall lead, train, and direct the work of all MRR positions on this SOW, and perform the following:
Investigate failure reports of MH-60T avionics equipment and electrical discrepancies, document findings, and make recommendations for changes to design and/or maintenance procedures.
Design or develop specialized test equipment for MH-60T systems.
Develop and submit detailed installation plans, instructions, and testing procedures for USCG aircraft electronic equipment to the COR or Project Manager for approval.
Travel, as required, by the USCG in performance of duties.
Monitor and report on external military civilian markets for introduction of new Tools or Models with potential USCG applicability, including papers presented during Professional Symposia.
Support information and report development data requests from ACMS analysis as directed by the Project Manager, COR, or MRR Product Line Manager. Summarize and report on non-routine assignments, such as but not limited to, what work was performed for whom, and whether information produced is of a recurring nature. Minimum Qualifications Shall possess a SECRET security clearance at time of proposal submission and must maintain the SECRET security clearance for the life of the contract.
Shall possess, at a minimum, a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
Shall possess at a minimum five (5) years practical experience in aviation related engineering functions.
One (1) year experience directly related to maintenance/support of the MH-60T aircraft is preferred or a minimum of two (2) years' experience in the H-60 family of aircraft.
