Mechanical Designer/Design Engineer Full-Time Direct Hire

Akkodis, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Designer for a full-time direct and with an industry leader that is growing. The role is located in Cleveland, OH. The Designer will perform engineering duties in planning and designing mechanically functioning equipment. Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of educational and on-the-job experience in mechanical design, preferably focused in machine or equipment design.

Salary Range: $75-80K

Mechanical Designer Job Responsibilities Include :

• Design industrial fixturing systems and related equipment.

• Interact with supplier representatives and customers to identify specifications, design components, and systems as necessary.

• Evaluate characteristics of equipment or systems.

• Confer with technical personnel to prepare designs.

• Confer with multiple segments of GED business to resolve design or operational problems.

• Recommend technical design or process changes to improve efficiency, quality, or performance.

• Investigate system, equipment, or product failures.

• Test performance of mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment.

• Create models of engineering designs or methods and implement design or process improvements.

• Create and maintain BOM structures.

• Analyze design or requirements information for mechanical equipment or systems.

• Identify new applications for existing technologies.

• Document technical design details.

• Research industrial processes or operations.

Qualifications:

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related, OR Associate degree in a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical design including machine or equipment design, machine fixturing or machine components.

• CREO is a plus, other 3D CAD is required.
