Structural Mechanic I Tulsa


Job Type: Full-Time; Consultant
Location: Savannah, GA
Schedule: 1st Shift
Pay Rate: $21.21 per hour

Position Purpose:
Join a collaborative team environment where you'll play a vital role in assembling aircraft structures. Under moderate supervision, you will perform a variety of structural assembly tasks to help bring high-quality aircraft to life.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 1 year of related structural assembly experience preferred

  • Familiarity with Solumina and Smarteam is a plus

  • Graduates from the Savannah Tech Aircraft Structures Technical Certificate Program may be credited with one year of experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Structural Assembly: Fit and assemble detailed parts and structures, performing various drilling and riveting operations to meet exact specifications.

  • Tools Expertise: Use pneumatic tools like riveting guns, drills, countersinks, rivet shavers, files, and reamers to ensure high-quality assemblies.

  • Blueprint Mastery: Interpret work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operational sheets to determine the exact operations, hole patterns, and rivet sizes.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure your work meets all quality standards before the final inspection, guaranteeing a defect-free assembly.

  • Record Keeping: Keep detailed logs of your work through records such as MIR sheets, DMTs, and Crabs.

  • Collaboration & Support: Align and assemble parts with the help of jigs, clamps, and fasteners, working closely with your team to maintain productivity.

  • Lean Process: Support Lean Activities and help improve daily processes.

  • Safety First: Comply with safety regulations and ensure a clean, organized workspace by following the 5S Program.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong blueprint reading and 6" scale interpretation skills

  • Basic computer skills and shop math ability

  • Hands-on craftwork aptitude and attention to detail

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces

  • Flexibility to work any shift and climb ladders/stands/stairs

Pay Details: $21.21 per hour
