Grant Coordinator

CFS is working with a local nonprofit seeking a Grant Coordinator to join their team. This role is responsible for all financial aspects of the grant funding this nonprofit receives. This individual will oversee budgeting, accounting, and reporting related to grants, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and internal financial policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grant Budgeting:
    • Develop and manage detailed budgets for each grant project.
    • Monitor budget expenditures to ensure compliance with grant guidelines.
    • Identify and address potential budget variances.
  • Grant Accounting:
    • Record grant revenue and expenses accurately in the organization's accounting system.
    • Prepare financial reports and statements related to grant funding.
    • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and grant-specific accounting standards.
  • Grant Reporting:
    • Prepare and submit required grant reports on time, including financial statements, progress reports, and other documentation.
    • Ensure reports are accurate, complete, and comply with grant terms and conditions.
  • Compliance:
    • Stay up-to-date on grant regulations and reporting requirements.
    • Adhere to internal policies and procedures related to grant accounting and reporting.
    • Ensure the organization is in compliance with all grant terms and conditions.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Analyze grant financial data to identify trends, assess performance, and inform decision-making.
    • Prepare financial projections and forecasts related to grant funding.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with nonprofit accounting or grant accounting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and database management tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working remotely is preferred.

Salary: $65,000 - 75,000

Location: The Dalles, Oregon - Remote position - able to be onsite 5% of the time is preferred.
