Job description

Field Service Technician

The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site service, repair, and maintenance of industrial equipment at customer locations across the country. They will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving equipment issues in a timely manner. The technician will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Travel to customer locations to provide on-site service, repair, and maintenance of industrial equipment
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues
  • Provide training to customers on proper equipment use and maintenance
  • Maintain accurate and detailed service records
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Comply with all safety and company policies and procedures

Qualifications:


  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial equipment service, repair, and maintenance
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Must be willing to travel extensively
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Education:


  • Technical degree or certification in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred

Travel:


  • This position requires extensive travel, as much as 70% of the time
