The Role:
Alternative Investment Funds (Private Equity, Family Office, Venture Capital) Managers serve as members of various client service teams. Managers must possess strong knowledge of financial reporting and back office operations related to alternative investment funds. In addition to the preparation and review of financial statements, Managers participate in client issues resolution, investor relations, and communicate directly with clients and financial management. Managers mentor junior team members and serve as Career Advisors.

Managers can expect to:

Engage in business development activities (i.e. prepare proposals, present in webinars, collaborate with other service lines to market comprehensive tax strategies for prospective clients, etc.);

Maintain communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, remain current on legislative changes, and lead change effectively;

Supervise train, mentor, and evaluate Interns, Associates and Senior Associates; and

Receive formal training, on the job training, direct feedback from practice leaders, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources.

The Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting

A minimum GPA of 3.0

CPA preferred or licensure eligible

4-6 years relevant work experience with an accounting firm and preferably at least 2 year of work with Alternative Investment Fund or Fund Administrator;

Strong leadership, multitasking and organizational skills;

Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks

Initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment;

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;

Ability to interact with and gain the respect of all levels of internal and client personnel

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;

Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Proficient use of technology including MS Excel; and

Strong attention to detail.
