NexGen is seeking an Estimator - MEP to join our team in the Anderson, SC office.

Who we want (Requirements)

The new team member is required to have a bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, with a minimum of five years' experience in estimating or project management. Exposure to design/build is highly preferred. Must be physically located in the Issaquah, WA office.

Qualifications:
What we expect (Essential Functions)

Reviews data and blueprints to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists of cost estimates.

Compute cost factors and prepare estimates used for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, change order pricing, vendors or subcontractors agreement, and determining cost effectiveness.

Conducts special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.

Consults with customers, subcontractors, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands or arms and talk or hear. They may occasionally be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.

Frequently in a normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. May be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and/or heat, risk of electrical shock, explosives and vibrations. Noise level on the job site is normally moderate to loud. Overtime will be required. Travel will be required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

May supervise project support team members.
