Description

The Construction Project Manager - Top Regional GC - Columbia will be responsible for:

  1. Project Planning: Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and timelines. Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and codes.

  2. Resource Management: Efficiently allocate and manage project resources, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.

  3. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns.

  4. Budget Oversight: Monitor project financials, track expenses, and manage budgetary constraints throughout the project lifecycle.

  5. Quality Assurance: Maintain strict quality control standards, ensuring that workmanship and materials meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.

  6. Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating activities to meet deadlines and milestones. Implement changes as necessary to accommodate unforeseen circumstances.

  7. Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.

  8. Contract Administration: Review and manage project contracts, change orders, and other legal documents, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations.

  9. Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations on-site to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.

  10. Team Leadership: Supervise and lead project teams, including subcontractors and in-house personnel, to ensure efficient and effective project execution.

  11. Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including daily logs, progress reports, and project documentation, to facilitate project closeout and future reference.

Profile

The successful Construction Project Manager - Top Regional GC - Columbia should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred, but not required
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction, with a minimum of 3 years of successful project management.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and make sound decisions.
