The Opportunity
This position works out of our Liberty, SC location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division.
As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.
Senior Machinist will program, sets up, adjusts, and operates standard and special types of machine tools to perform diversified machining operations on work having close tolerance and finish specifications. Takes initiative to ensure work is done accurately and completely. Performs assignments of moderate complexity. Applies existing work methods to different known situations. Problems involve recurring, routine situations; usually refers more complex problems to supervisor or more senior level personnel within organization.
Ability to work - Monday-Thursday, 7:30am - 5:30pm
What You'll Work On
Program, setup and operate all machine shop equipment to produce standard and custom machined parts per required specifications.
Proficient programming and run CNC's & Wire EDM's.
Perform heat treating procedures as required.
Use surface grinder to meet surface or flatness callouts.
Perform preventative maintenance on all machine tools.
Ability to prioritize work and balance workload of multiple projects.
Mechanically inclined and adept at learning with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in groups.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and observe all EHS and other safety rules and procedures.
Support and train lower-level shop personnel.
Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Associates Degree In Mechanical Technology, equivalent trade school/military training, or comparable related experience in biomedical field is desired OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum 5 years Relevant manual and CNC machining experience.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the job, including the ability to set up and operate specialized and sophisticated machining equipment.
Requires the demonstrated ability to read moderately complex blueprints as well as the ability to use, operate and apply a range of precision inspection instruments and devices, e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gages, etc.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and basic math skills.
Must maintain an acceptable level of proficiency in all process certifications.
Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
Ability to travel approximately 10%, including internationally.
Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Occasional overtime is a requirement of this position.

The base pay for this position is $20.60 - $41.20 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
