Could This Be For You?:
The AP Specialist III checks and verifies cost accounting, account payable records, prepares invoices and vouchers, types, files, posts ledger and general journal entries, and/or balances accounts payable. Uses office-automated systems to input data, generate reports, conduct specialized research projects and respond to inquiries. May reconcile difficult accounts. May maintain a complete and systematic set of transactions in a specific phase of accounting
Your Impact:
Review and approve invoices based on three-way match
Carry out uninvoiced, billing gap and pending approval reporting activities according to specific deadlines
Reconciliation of accounts
Monitoring of vendor account details for all exceptions and other irregularities
Maintain accounts receivable customer files with backup for invoices
Follow established procedures for processing receipt, pending approvals due to system tolerance failure
Promptly investigate and resolve vendor queries regarding purchase orders, invoices and payments
Prepare month end journal entries
Creates methods and procedures on new assignments
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
Associates Degree or equivalent training, education and experience beyond high school required.
Additional Success Factors:

Excellent organizational ability required to handle multiple priorities and unexpected interruptions
Ability to meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.

Must be a self-starter with ability to follow projects through to implementation

Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict and miscommunications in a professional manner to ensure optimal outcomes
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Proficient and very experienced with general accounting software.
