Title: Data Entry Specialist - fantastic entry level opportunity to join an amazing organization, working with our Lab Team.

Location: Dallas, TX (Addison area)

We have an opening for an IMMEDIATE HIRE - Data Entry Specialist working in our onsite lab. The speciailists will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.

The schedule for this position is: Monday-Friday (9:30am - 5:30pm, with 30 min meal break) with some additional evening / weekend / vacation work required, based upon business demands.

How you will make an impact
Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing

Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas

Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

Accurately identify and label specimens

Rack specimens to prepare them for processing

Meet department activity and production goalsQuarterly

Resolve and document any problem specimens

Assist with lab prep work and/or other projects, as assinged.

What you need to be successful
Requires: High School Diploma or equivalent

No lab experience required; 1-2 years of data entry experience, HIGHLY preferred

Previous medical or production experience is a plus

Comfortable handling biological specimens

Experience working in a team environment

Strong data entry and organizational skills

High level of attention to detail

Proficient in MS Office

Ability to lift 40lbs.

Ability to pass a standardized color-blind test

Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more
