We are currently looking for a dedicated NDT Technician (NAS410 FPI Level II) who is passionate about ensuring the highest quality standards in non-destructive testing.

Position Overview: As an NDT Technician at Onyx Specialty Processing, you will play a crucial role in conducting Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) using Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) methods in accordance with NAS410 standards. Your expertise will help us maintain our commitment to quality and safety in our operations. You will be responsible for performing inspections of aerospace components, documenting results meticulously, and ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform Inspections: Conduct FPI inspections on aerospace materials and components, following established guidelines and procedures.

Documentation: Accurately document inspection results and prepare reports that detail findings, recommendations, and conclusions.

Equipment Calibration: Ensure that NDT equipment is properly calibrated and maintained, verifying functionality before use.

Compliance: Adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to support quality assurance initiatives and resolve any issues that arise during testing.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and stay current with NDT practices.

Problem-Solving: Identify and communicate issues promptly and efficiently for resolution, ensuring minimal impact on production processes.

Compensation: Our pay range for this position is $60,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience and certifications. For candidates certified as Level II under NAS410, typical compensation will range from $60,000 to $80,000, based on years of experience and expertise.

However, individuals with higher-level certifications (such as Level III or additional aerospace-specific training) will be considered for top-tier compensation in the $80,000 to $100,000 range.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in NDT preferred

NDT Level II certification in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (NAS410)

Minimum of 2 years of experience in NDT, preferably in the aerospace industry

Strong knowledge of non-destructive testing methods and principles

Familiarity with applicable aerospace standards and regulations

Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Proficient in using inspection equipment and technical documentation
