We support customers with Centers of Excellence in Washington DC, Huntsville, AL and Burlington, MA with an additional 36 locations across the U.S. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a senior engineering technician for the Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services contract, supporting the USAF Information Assurance Technical Assistance Center. JOB DETAILS LOCATION: San Antonio, TX JOB STATUS: FT TRAVEL: 5% REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Masters degree and 12 years of directly related experience, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 15 years of directly related experience in lieu of masters degree, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 20 years' experience in lieu of degree. Top secret clearance. Experience with Type 1 cryptography products including INE, LEF, SCIP products, and other Type 1 cryptography. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Experience in networking (routers, switches and HAIPE/LEF devices). Experience operating electronic test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc) Cable and connector fabrication RESPONSIBILITIES Provide technical assistance on information assurance products and solutions, with focus on Type 1 products including INEs, LEF, and SCIP products. Troubleshoot, update software, and conduct testing. Develop unique security solutions Resolve integration interoperability issues Assist in the design of secure network architectures.
