The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user experience design, a deep understanding of the needs of military users, and a passion for creating intuitive and effective interfaces. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement user-centric solutions for Platform One. Required Skills User Research: Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of Platform One users.
Develop user personas, journey maps, and use cases to guide design decisions.
Gather and analyze user feedback to inform continuous improvement.
Design and Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for new features and enhancements.
Design intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that align with DoD standards and requirements.
Collaborate with developers to ensure the feasibility and implementation of designs.
Usability Testing: Plan and conduct usability tests to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement.
Analyze test results and iterate on designs based on user feedback.
Ensure accessibility and usability standards are met across all designs.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals.
Communicate design ideas and rationale effectively through sketches, storyboards, and presentations.
Advocate for user-centered design principles within the organization.
Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of design standards.
Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Qualifications: Secret Eligible
Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in UX design or a similar role.
Strong portfolio showcasing design projects and user-centered design process.
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
Excellent understanding of usability principles, user research methods, and accessibility standards.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
