Job description

The SQE ensures product quality by implementing and overseeing quality control processes, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. They lead cross-functional teams to address quality issues, develop and enforce quality standards, and manage non-conforming materials. The role requires a strong understanding of ceramics manufacturing processes and the ability to apply advanced quality engineering tools and techniques.

Description

  • Lead Change: Oversee RMA and CAPA processes, ensuring thorough documentation, resolution, and driving progress.
  • Drive Transformation: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity, reduce scrap rates, and minimize rework.
  • Master Quality Control: Utilize advanced statistical tools like Process Mapping, FMEA, Gage R&R, and Lean to elevate quality and streamline processes.
  • Innovate with Impact: Develop and implement cutting-edge quality engineering tools such as SPC, AQL, and CPk to revolutionize process reliability.
  • Collaborate for Success: Partner with inspection teams, shop floor personnel, Materials Engineering, and Manufacturing to overcome challenges and enhance processes.
  • Inspire Excellence: Mentor teams on best manufacturing practices and lead Quality Management System improvements.
  • Optimize Solutions: Manage MRB activities and develop strategic solutions for non-conforming materials.
  • Elevate Quality: Collaborate with engineering and office teams to refine quality standards and conduct thorough contract reviews.
  • Advance Technology: Recommend and specify state-of-the-art measurement and non-destructive testing equipment, ensuring accurate documentation and calibration.
  • Build Strong Partnerships: Develop APQP documents and establish lasting relationships with customers and external providers.

Profile



Required: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent experience with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GDT, standards, and specifications.
  • Capable of working independently and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with exceptional interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and non-verbal.
  • Solid business acumen with experience in management reporting and decision-making.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, highly motivated, and a champion of improvements.


Desired:

  • AS9100 and/or ISO9001 Lead Auditor Certification.
  • Experience with customer PPAP requirements.
  • Proficiency in programming CMM with knowledge of 3D vector math and geometry.
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement; Lean experience preferred.
