Overview:

JOB TITLE: Configuration Manager

GOVERNMENT AGENCY: DOJ EOIR

POSITION INFORMATION: Full-time

LOCATION: Falls Church, VA; Hybrid (3 days onsite/2 days telework); initial 30-60 days will be 100% onsite due to current DOJ EOIR policy

POSITION TIMING: Position requires candidate to obtain a DOJ Public Trust clearance which can take 4-6 weeks to process and must be complete prior to starting employement

The Configuration Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Configuration and Change Management process and CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency. A primary responsibility will be leading the re-design of the OIT change management process, ensuring all changes to the environment are captured, reviewed, audited and tested prior to implementation.

Responsibilities:
Lead the re-design of the OIT change management process, ensuring all changes to the environment are captured, reviewed, audited and tested prior to implementation.

Utilize ServiceNow for all change management workflows and reports.

Coordinate, manage and prioritize CM activities performed within OIT.

Establish and maintain the configuration baseline, which is a set of approved and controlled versions of project or system components serving as the reference point for further development, testing, and deployment.

Serve as the Operations lead related to findings from NIST and ATO.

Team with Cybersecurity to identify and provide required documentation.

Lead a daily standup meeting designed to review current work in progress across operations leads.

Report statistics on software and hardware deployments.

Maintain a baseline of artifacts in the CMB across all functions.

Perform technical writing including design documents and SOP's.

Ensure all SOP's, Design Documents, Configuration files etc., are reviewed and updated bi-annually.

Participate in cross-functional change control boards to evaluate proposed changes.

Record and maintain assessment and audit findings, minutes, and action items.

Assure the continuity of product design configuration by reviewing and analyzing initial drawings/documents and implementing subsequent approved changes in relation to drawings/documents

Develops comprehensive knowledge of hardware development, production and operational phases of programs.

Qualifications:
Ability to obtain a DOJ Public Trust clearance (must be obtained prior to start date).

8+ years of experience in IT service management

4+ years of experience in ServiceNow with a focus on ITSM and ITIL

3+ years of experience in a ServiceNow CMDB management role and supporting other ITSM processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

Experience with ITIL processes and best practices, particularly in configuration management

Experience with ServiceNow CSDM

Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Candidate must be able to function in general office environment.

The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Regular movement around the campus of large immigration courts is required throughout the day to provide hands-on support to customers.

The person in this position must have the ability to lift and move IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
