You will work along-side top engineers and technical thought leaders building Cloud solutions helping shape the future of global enterprises. You will be at the heart of the technical solutioning and leading-edge product development. Work you'll do: As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying secure, maintainable, and reliable software in the form of executable functions (e.g., AWS Lambda or Azure Functions) across a cloud infrastructure that houses sensitive data and models that support mission critical operations. You will automate business processes by ensuring the proper programmatic flow of data through CI/CD pipelines and cloud artifacts while optimizing performance and cost efficiency, and quickly troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues when they arise. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and deployments that abstracts away server management and environment configuration for data scientist and software engineering teams. Responsibilities include: Working closely with developer teams to create an automated CI/CD pipeline
Implementing build, deployment and monitoring standards for the client
Delivering end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring and infrastructure management in a cloud environment
Creating scripts and/or templates to automate and/or bootstrap infrastructure provisioning and management tasks
Building and configuring delivery environments supporting CI/CD tools using an Agile delivery methodology
Providing knowledge of container management tools (e.g. Docker, OpenShift), container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes), infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Ansible, CloudFormation), and have familiarity with modern build experience tools (e.g. Maven) and cloud integration systems (e.g. Jenkins)
Understand static code analysis, unit testing and test-driven development, security testing and automated test frameworks
Understand object-oriented programming (i.e. emphasis in Java) and have familiarity with source control systems (emphasis on Git)

Must have an active TS/SCI government clearance
Ability to be onsite up to 60% of the time as a client SCIF located in Washington, DC
Travel up to 20% on average, based on work you do and the clients and the industries/sectors you serve.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need
for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred: o Proven experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes o Agile development experience along with related technologies (e.g., Jira) o Demonstrable comprehension of key engineering concepts (e.g., load balancing, resiliency, backup, scaling, alerting). o Significant experience architecting, building and maintaining capabilities in AWS. o Significant experience architecting and working in systems Government-owned secure networks (e.g., NIPR, SIPR, A-LAN, C-LAN) o Deep knowledge of security best practices, experience with cloud security tools, and working with role and attribute-based security models o Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM Templates). o Familiarity and experience with the Intelligence Community (IC), and the intel cycle. o Familiarity and experience with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). o Master's degree or equivalent experience in a related field. o Experience working in a Scrum based task / team structure. This compensation range is specific to Washington, DC and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
