Job description

Duties Responsible for planning and coordinating the command response to civil disaster and national or local security emergency events. Provide advice and recommendations to the Facility Management Officer and other authority on a wide array of program issues. Responsible for planning, readiness, and execution of a broad range of functions for supporting emergency operations Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Incumbent will be expected to respond to all emergencies that may happen after work hours and on weekends or holidays. This position is designated as a Key Position to ensure continuity in mission and cannot be vacated during national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization. Civilians in key positions must be exempted from recall to active duty because of Reserve or retired military obligation. The employee may be required to work overtime on an emergency basis. May be required to serve as a Contracting Officers Representative (COR). May serve as installation project officer. May be required to escort and supervise vendors in classified areas. Operations Security Officer Certification Level II (OPSEC Level II) required within 6 months of hire. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service (GS-12 or equivalent).
