401K What will your day look like? As a Principle Cloud Engineer, you will: Design and deploy cloud-based solutions tailored to customer needs for optimal performance and scalability.
Architect cloud environments to meet technical requirements across production, staging, QA, and development in highly available 24/7 systems.
Develop and execute cloud strategies, including migrations, cost optimization, and system resilience improvements.
Implement infrastructure automation and establish tools for streamlined development workflows.
Translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements for development teams, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Drive automation in development, testing, deployment, and release processes for increased efficiency and consistency.
Review and analyze code to ensure quality and reliability, troubleshooting issues and verifying performance.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within complex business and technical workflows.
Enhance cybersecurity measures to ensure system integrity and protection against threats.
Address technical issues with timely solutions, developing software updates and patches as needed.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure adherence to processes and optimal functionality of deployments.
Support and enhance enterprise cloud infrastructure with infrastructure-as-code, automated configuration, and continuous monitoring.
Document the current environment, conduct gap analyses, and provide options for improvements or modernization.
Utilize virtualization and containerization technologies to streamline and update software systems.
Serve as a senior thought leader, contributing to best practices, industry insights, and company-wide technical strategy.
Participate in sales and technical strategy discussions, offering expertise beyond the current program scope.
Act as a mentor to junior engineers, providing guidance and support to elevate team capabilities.
Engineer improvements to cloud services and recommend strategies for ongoing enhancements.
Communicate regular progress updates and offer cross-training to team members, ensuring knowledge sharing across the team.
You will be a good fit as a Principle Cloud Engineer if you have: Required Qualifications: Eligibility to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance.
Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field, or a Bachelor's in a non-IT field with 2+ years of relevant IT experience.
10+ years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based solutions.
10+ years of experience with one or more cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
10+ years of experience using Git SCM tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
10+ years of experience with Agile methodologies in systems development.
10+ years of experience in infrastructure as code and automation practices.
10+ years of experience integrating DevSecOps tools and automation into deployment workflows.
5+ years of experience in areas such as database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, or advanced analytics.
Proficiency in AWS cloud services.
Possession of at least two of the following certifications:
Google Cloud Professional Certification (preferred)
Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred)
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (preferred)
Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
ITIL Foundations
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in an IT-related discipline.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with solid interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
Experience in documenting the current state of environments, conducting gap analyses, and creating artifacts with options and recommendations.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Concourse, Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby.
Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
