Overview LMI is seeking a Senior Analyst for a Technical Integration role supporting the Space Warfighting Analysis Center's Force Design Integration Office (FDIO) in the Crystal City, VA area. The qualified applicant will provide technical support to the Space Warfighting Analysis Center's (SWAC) Force Design Integration Office (FDIO) in Crystal City, VA with an expectation of travel to and from the Pentagon approximately twice per week and out of the capital regions approximately twice per year based on emerging priorities. The applicant will support day to day execution of SWAC Force Design technical analysis and integrated product development across all SWAC Programs and Integration Layer to include products for Pentagon engagements and decision-making forums. Candidate will ensure direct collaboration with SWAC Programs technical experts, assign and conduct independent analysis, and review and develop integrated decision support products which articulate SWAC space system Force Design recommendations to meet joint warfighting needs. Responsibilities include ensuring strategic guidance, joint needs, operational scenarios, and operating concepts are integrated into SWAC analysis at multiple classification levels. Additionally, the qualified candidate will ensure support for USSF decisions for resourcing, policy and requirements development, acquisitions, and operational planning based on FD recommendations. The applicant must have a technical depth and breadth of space capabilities with an understanding of complex analysis and industry capabilities and best practices and must be capable of translating USSF capabilities into the joint context to allow for joint integration. The applicant must have also demonstrated leadership in previous roles. This position requires a TS/SCI clearance with CI poly eligibility. Responsibilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Interface with DAF, USSF, and USSF Field Command technical experts and staffs Articulate technical FD recommendations to USSF and joint communities, and Mission Partners Support transition of FD recommendations into USSF and joint Requirements documents, foster thorough joint approval process, and provide a technical basis for acquisition strategy development Engage joint, service, and Mission Partners community to understand, document, and maintain operational needs & requirements for ingestion into FD analysis Support development of investment priorities based on FD recommendations and integration into annual USSF Program Objective Memorandum (POM) budget Assist in the set up and execution of Force Design Conferences Capture and recommend force design dependencies and opportunities (joint, intelligence community, industry, international and other government organizations) Support high-visibility capability efforts (ex. SECAF's Operational Imperatives) Maintain SWAC FD products To successfully execute the above duties & responsibilities, the applicant should have soft skills such as: Ability to quickly create decision quality materials for senior leaders Ability to review team member products for quality and accuracy Understand complex technical issues and produce recommendations for a wide audience Apply critical thinking in complex and dynamic organizational environments Have strong communication skills (technical writing, developing presentations, briefing, etc). Be able to lead a small group of technical experts. Be able to translate Division Chief Directives into daily-weekly goals. Be able to summarize teams execution and needs to Division Chief succinctly Qualifications Experience required/desired: Bachelor's Degree (STEM Master's Degree desired) 10+ years space operations or space acquisition experience 4+ years Joint operational planning, integration, or requirements development experience (desired) 5+ years of commercial/civil space experience (desired) 4 years+ in a leadership position Experience with space design and/or architecture development including satellite ground systems Experience with and knowledge of DoD, IC, and commercial satellite systems Experience working in SCI/SAP environment (highly desired) SCI and Special Access Required eligibility CI Poly within last 10 years Target salary range: $125460 - $223380. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
