We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our team in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. As a Full Stack Software Engineer, who will play a key role in implementing the Army Software Directive by guiding development teams in adopting modern software practices. This will involve conducting code and design reviews, as well as engaging in hands-on implementation. You will apply Lean, Agile, and DevSecOps methodologies to enhance software delivery speed, security, and stability. This position requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Fort Belvoir office, where the client is located, along with occasional travel. You must be authorized to work in the US and maintain a Secret Clearance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Constructs and leads a diverse team of innovation engineers.
Defines strategic approaches, through formalized documentation, to the evaluation and analysis of emerging technologies.
Establishes written standardizations and best practices for implementing technologies.
Manages the development of the innovation concepts/prototypes to meet project plan objectives.
Utilizes leadership qualities to drive the technical effort across the team(s), make recommendations on critical issues under pressure.
Evaluates and quickly identifies issues, gaps and makes written recommendations.
Uses strong negotiation skills, to deal with conflict and resolution.
Communicates to earn trust, to persuade, to motivate, and to mentor
Assumes authority and responsibility to demonstrate ability and results to internal stakeholders Qualifications
4 + years hands on experience with popular language and framework such as Java Python NodeJS, Django, and spring.
3 + years Work experience on MVC, JDBC, and Restful web services.
2+ years Front end framework such as Reach and add Angular
3 + years Code versioning tool, such as Git and build tools such as MAVEN.
2 + years experience and Database technology relational or non-relational such as MySQL, Mongo, or DynamoDB.
2 + years experience development in an agile environment with automated CI/CD.
Possesses excellent listening skills and a commitment to communicating (verbally and in writing) in a clear, concise and timely manner always.
Able to identify, prioritize, and execute tasks to meet critical project deadlines
Works from an organizational perspective as well as independently and as a contributing team member.
Is goal-orientation and anticipatory with a relentless focus on results. Education:
Required:
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a specialized field with 7 years of experience, a bachelor's in any
field with 9 years of specialized experience,
Or a master's in a specialized field with 1 year of experience. Active Secret Clearance. Knowledge of Army and or DoD practices.
