Job description

Tyto Athene is seeking a Part Time Network Administrator to support our DAU group out of Fort Belvoir, VA. The selected applicant will work as part of an integrated team including cybersecurity specialists, network engineers, service desk analysts, and other personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for the configuration, implementation and support of an enterprise network as well as supporting the Infrastructure Team with other day-to-day tasks that includes change management, authorized service interruptions, device updates and STIGs. Responsibilities: Responsible to maintain LAN/WAN/Wireless services and connectivity Design and implementation of LAN/WAN/Wireless equipment and technologies to optimize system operation and resource utilization Perform system capacity analysis and planning Resolve performance problems with network components Provide resolution of system failures and degradations Monitor network and systems health, responding appropriately to network alerts and events Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues on a day-to-day basis Adhere to Change Control procedures and plan implementations around existing maintenance windows Provide documentation of projects and installations Incident and request Management Required: Experience working in a tiered service model utilizing ITSM tools such as ServiceNow Certifications needed or specialty experience preferred as follows: Cisco Aruba Wireless Azure Networking Cloudflare Solarwinds NPM/NCM Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other related discipline and at least 3 years of experience or a combination of applicable education and experience Current Security+ or other DoD Approved 8570 IAT II security certification required as per DOD Cyber Security Exchange website reference.
