REMOTE - Sr. Network Engineer - Secret Top must-have skills/experience/education: Must possess Current U.S. Passport and an Active Secret security clearance (minimum) Understanding of network topology - document network topology for different sites Good communication skills - going to the different sites and dealing with different AOCs (air operation center) and different leadership, speak to that level Organizational skills - gather data and regurgitate it on documents Travel: Willingness to travel 1-2 weeks per month for a period of approximately six (6) months Places of performance: Ramstein AB, Germany, Al Udeid AB, Qatar, JB Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, JB Pearl Harbor-Hickam AFB, HI, Shaw AFB, SC and Langley AFB, VA Job Description: 1. The Contractor shall interview mission partners on a per AOC basis to: a. Assess the existing network pathing between the AOC and ADCP systems (both within Amazon Web Services (AWS) Impact Level (IL) 6 and On-Prem infrastructure) b. Assess the exiting network pathing between the ADCP systems (both within Amazon Web Services (AWS) Impact Level (IL) 6 and On-Prem infrastructure) c. Assess potential single points of failure d. Assess the organizational elements responsible for supporting these connections. 2. The Contractor shall document: a. The physical and logical infrastructure components of the systems and their interconnections. b. The single points of failure and their related potential risks. c. The information flow (dataflow) d. The organizational elements which exist within the dependency structure, to include Point of Contact information. e. The system from both an unclassified and classified perspective. 3. The Contractor shall provide recommendations for: a. Enhancing network efficiencies between the AOC and ADCP infrastructure b. Mitigating any potential risk to the communications paths, which may or may not include Kessel Run owned systems. 4. The Contractor shall achieve this through on-site assessments and remote meetings to aggregate the required information in order to develop the relevant documentation. Outcome: Kessel Run gains the required documentation to understand both technical, information, and organizational dependency chains with mission partners and their related systems for each AOC. This includes documentation related to physical network routes, logical information flows, and organizational areas of responsibility and associated points of contact. The documents account for sufficient levels of fidelity into organization and system relationships to ensure Kessel Run and AOC leadership can make sound risk management decisions when onboarding an AOC to Kessel Run systems. The documentation also provides recommendations by which Kessel Run and AOC can leverage to mitigate risk or enhance network performance. Deliverables: Contractor shall provide the following as a result of this TRN: (1) Provide unclassified and classified documentation related to physical, logical, and organization dependencies of AOC operations on ADCP infrastructure through the use of mission partner networks; this shall be documented for each AOC. (2) Document insight into potential points of risk, related mitigations, and areas where performance could be improved, and; (3) Document recommended approaches to account for risk, mitigation strategies, or network performance improvements.
