Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Day Shift State Role Title: Licensed Practical Nurse Hiring Range: Based on Experience up to $77,126 Pay Band: 3 Agency: Dept of Veterans Services Location: Sitter-Barfoot Veterans Care Agency Website: Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center; named for two Medal of Honor recipients - Colonel Van Barfoot and Colonel Carl Sitter - provides the gold standard in quality care for Virginia's Veterans. This single-level facility features 200 single-occupancy rooms across four nursing units. Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for an LPN Floor Nurse with Charge Nurse responsibilities for the 7:00 am - 3:30 pm shift and will include a shift every other weekend. The LPN is responsible for delivering skilled nursing care for our veteran residents. Duties include: Administer medications and treatment accurately for assigned residents. Consult with physicians; receives, records and implements orders and schedules appointments. Document residents' health changes via acute care nurse's notes and shift change nursing reports. Formulate plans of care for new residents and prepares all required reports and documentation. Conduct daily rounds; observing and evaluating the physical and emotional status of assigned residents and taking necessary actions to ensure their health and well-being. Maintain equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for nursing care; Consulting with Nursing Supervisor/Unit Manager as needed. Minimum Qualifications Must be licensed as a Practical Nurse in Virginia.
